1970 Gibson ES-355-TDW $1850.00
This guitar is basically an ES-335 now. Has been converted in the 70's to a stop-tail.
Gibson Waffle Tuners are original, pot codes 1376938 on 3 and 1377142 on 1, original tone caps. Pickup rings are original, pickups are Seymour Duncan Seth Lover model and sound fantastic in this guitar! The neck is superbly flat and the frets are good and the action is LOW and no buzz. Gibson TP-6 Tail-piece speed knobs.
1971 Gibson Les Paul Custom w/OHSC $3500.00
A great early 70's Les Paul Custom. All original except the bridge was changed in the 80's to a Gibson Nashville so there are new studs in the top for the replacement bridge. Other than that the guitar is untouched. Sandwich body, 3 piece neck,"Patent Sticker" pickups. Really low buzz free action on the original frets! The tuners are Grovers, ther were holes drilled for the Gibson waffle Tuners but they were never installed, the finish is right into the unused holes. One of my bonehead friends decided to try to see if the holes were threaded (they aren't) and started screwing a screw in which chipped the finish around that hole. (he's never touching one of my guitars again!)
1983 Gibson Les Paul Standard Antique Natural $2750.00
When I got this guitar I looked it over and played it and thought this isn't like any 80's Les Paul I had played before. It has the proper headstock angle, and the headstock is narrow as well. Also the binding in the cutaway is thin and you can see the maple cap underneath, and it is a single slab mahogany body. When I went through a 1983 Gibson catalog I was surprised to learn that Gibson was "Proud To Announce A Return To The Traditional Les Paul Manufacturing Methods". This is a really nice Les Paul! The weight is 9.5 pounds so it isn't a log either. The pickups sound great. The action is low and free of buzz. There is some light fret-wear but nothing that needs to be corrected yet.
1976 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe-Converted Antique Natural $1850.00
Another really nice Antique Natural Les Paul. Original nice Kluson "Gibson Deluxe" Double Line/Double Button tuners! Original bridge, has a Gibson TP-6 fine tune tailpiece that is from the mid 70's. The mini-humbuckers were replaced in the 70's with some DiMarzio pickups and mini switches (Series/Parallel) were added between the controls. I have put in a set of 4-conductor Seymour Duncan Seth Lover SH-55 humbuckers and this guitar sounds awesome! The guitar sounds like a real nice Les Paul in humbucking mode and gets a little almost Gretsch like in Parallel. Both modes are hum-cancelling. Great playing neck on this one too. Played a lot because it feels so good, and sounds even better. If you play a lot it will need a fret dressing sooner or later.
